Within a week of returning from the Edmund Rice Beyond Borders Conference in South Africa, I addressed the faculty/staff about my experience while presenting a number of pictures I took during the conference and school visits. I also made a brief presentation to our student body at an all school assembly.

As of this moment we had an “Ugly Christmas Sweater Dress-Down Day” for the Ruben Centre in Kenya in order to support three student tuitions (US$1500.00) for this current school year with the intention of sponsoring at least three tuitions for the next four years.
Secondly, I have made arrangements with our cafeteria service to research meals of Edmund’s time in Ireland, prepare the food and sell it to those who are willing to experience the “meals of the day”.
Lastly, I have made it known that I would like Brother Rice High School, Chicago, to sponsor a mini-reverse, immersion experience for a teacher and two male students from one of the visited South African schools in Bloemfontein.
I look forward to the advice from our international colleagues to help us to actualise our wish.
